Endhiran’s advance booking starts from Saturday, the official announcement from Sun Network said on Friday.
The movie, which is scheduled for release on October 1, has already made record breaking pre-bookings in the United States. Now, with only six days left for the release of the movie, pre-bookings are started in Chennai from 9 a.m. on Saturday.
According to official sources, the movie could be screened in 500-550 theatres in the state, breaking the record of Rajnikanth starrer Sivaji, which was screened in over 250 theatres. The most expensive Indian cinema, Endhiran, would occupy nearly 50 percent of theatres in the state while in Chennai alone, 40 theatres will show the movie.
Approximately, about 2,000 theatres are reported to screen Endhiran worldwide. Besides, sources say that Sathyam Cinemas would play 24 shows daily while Mayajaal would play 60 shows every day.
Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Endhiran is a tri-lingual sci-fi movie directed by renowned film maker Shankar under the Sun Pictures banner. The movie has been made at a whopping cost that ranges around 150-200 crores.
