British soccer star David Beckham is not going to play in the upcoming FIFA World Cup following his injury but it has not reduced his fame as Bluewater Productions has immortalised Beckham in a new comic book titled ‘Fame: David Beckham’.
This has made the 35-year-old, the first sports star to feature in a Bluewater comic.
The official text of the comic book reads, ‘from his earliest days on the soccer field, when he dreamed of playing for Manchester United, to the challenges of his soccer days in the United States.”
Pete Rogers, the author of the book quoted, “Working on the Beckham book was quite different from any other comic I've worked on to date.”
"Telling someone's real life story was quite a challenge, and I tried to find as many ways as possible to ensure that it was visually interesting and not just a case of 'he did this and then he did that'," he added.
