Singer Cheryl has not only thrown her cheater husband, Ashley Cole out of her life but has dumped his last name as well. Cheryl, 27 who recently filed for divorce with her estranged husband has chosen to use her maiden name ‘Tweedy’.
The ‘Girls Aloud’ beauty will now be known as Cheryl Tweedy as it was announced by media mogul, Simon Cowell during the auditions of British reality show ‘X Factor’.
The British beauty is in the judge’s panel of the show and Cowell announced that she will be using Tweedy as her last name.
Cowell asked the audience, "Who would like to hear from Cheryl...Tweedy. It is, now, isn't it?”
It was the first time that the singer has chosen to be called Tweedy in public since her separation from Ashley.
"The support for her was immense. When Simon announced her as Cheryl Tweedy, the whole place went up. Cheryl was beaming. It was as if a new chapter in her life had just started and she looked happier than ever," Kate Gibbs, a fan of Cheryl said.
