Pop diva Cheryl Cole is all set to double her fortune as recording label Universal has offered her a USD 10 million recording contract. The music giant will take care of album sales of the singer’s latest outing ‘Messy Little Raindrops’.
Universal top bosses gave a call to ‘Girls Aloud’ on Sunday after Cole’s new single `Promise This` topped the music charts in UK.
The deal will see the singer record two more albums for the label. Good friend Derek Hough escorted the X factor judge around LA .A close aid to the star said, "Cheryl got a call from some very senior people at Universal saying they wanted to see her. They are the kind of people who when they say, `Jump`, you ask, `How high?"
"So she jumped on a plane and went to LA for 36 hours. Derek was there to ferry her to and fro and give her support as these big execs can be quite scary.”
