Canadian pop diva Celine Dion is a happy woman as she is pregnant with twins. The biggest-selling female artist of all time was desperate to have second child with husband, Rene Angelil but was superstitious to announce the news.
Kim Jakwerth, the publicist of the singer revealed that Dion is 14 weeks pregnant. The pregnancy follows a miscarriage and several unsuccessful in-vitro-fertilization procedures.
The 42-year-old has a nine-year-old son with 68-year-old husband-cum-manager Rene Angelil. The couple have been trying to have another baby for some time.
Rene Angelil quoted, "Celine is hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing."
Dion has also taken break from the music world to have a baby.
In 1981, Rene Angelil mortgaged his home to fund Dion’s first record, ‘The Voice of the Good God’, which later became a local number-one hit and made Dion an instant star in Quebec.
In 1994 the singer married Angelil who is 26 years older than her.
