B-town hunky Arjun Rampal these days is definitely enjoying the taste of filmy success but his pricey acts are not going too well with movie bosses. After been dumped from Don 2 now Rahul Khanna has replaced him in Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2.
The recent media reports claim that Rampal who made his presence felt in Bollywood with Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om was demanding around Rs 2.5 crore to star in the sequel of 2010 blockbuster Housefull and that forced Sajid to knock Rahul’s doors.
A source was quoted as saying, “Arjun is no more a part of the sequel. Rampal demanded a stupendous amount of Rs 2.5 crore, which the producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan found a bit too much. Nadiadwala also had a word with Arjun, but he did not seem to budge from the amount quoted.”
“Both the Sajids decided to replace Arjun and go ahead with a different face. They zeroed in on Rahul Khanna. The sequel’s new faces will include Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar and John Abraham,” added the source.
“It is believed the actresses’ of the film have also changed. Although Lara Dutta remains, Genelia D’souza and Sonakshi Sinha have been added to the cast” the source quoted.
