The much-awaited Apple’s iPad is finally making its entry in the Indian market with the state-owned telecom major BSNL. Technology giant Apple has partnered with BSNL in India to bring the device in the country.
 
Apple iPad would hit the retail stores of India on January 28. Apple’s iPad tablet computer will be available in Wi-Fi and 3G+Wi-Fi versions.
 
According to sources, the device with 3G+Wi-Fi could be priced between Rs 33,000 to Rs 44,000 and may come in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
 
Apple’s iPad comes to India nearly after nine months after it was launched in the US market. The iPad tablet computer was a successful model that and saw drastic sales since its launch. About 3 million units of iPads were sold in less than three months.
 
The prototype device was followed and adapted by several technology giants like Samsung, Motorola and others.
 
Apple’s iPad with 1.5 pounds comes in two versions- one with Wi-Fi and the other with Wi-Fi + 3G. The device features 9.7 inches multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels. The iPad also features scratch-resistant coating and is enabled with Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and in the Wi-Fi + 3G version- a 3G cellular HSDPA and 2G cellular EDGE are also equipped.
