It is first of the kind in Fox’s history that they are with a new incarnation of "24" broadcast with a noted actor like Anil Kapoor, who is going to showcase in a 24-hour period in the life of a government agent, to eliminate terrorist’s threatful plan attacks in US.

In an interview, Anil Kapoor states, "I've never played a president." The anxious actor added, "It's the first time that I'm doing television. I've been doing feature films for around 30 years. Not only was I excited that I was doing '24', but I was also anxious and nervous that I was doing something for the first time in my life."

It is the first of the kind Anil Kapoor admits that he will be playing in a role in small screen in US.

This move suggestively taken from the views of his friends and family and added, "People told me, 'No matter what happens, you have to be on '24'! My son, my daughter, my friends.”

It was not a sudden decision but was already in his mind and added "'24' is very popular in India. Five or six years back, I was introduced to '24' by my colleagues who would watch it in their trailers."

As Anil is always selective about his role, he decided to play a Middle Eastern character because he got the privilege to play a substantial role in the America's popular TV series.

This step was a taken deliberately keeping all these things into account, he divulged, "I am very clear that I won't play Indian characters in international projects unless they're really special. I've told my agent to seek out parts that are not culture-specific, but have character."

As far as Cherry Jones has to say, he states,"Anil Kapoor is above all else a great elegant gentleman with an amazing background. He has a natural regalness to him which is so perfect."

What Indian viewers feels is that he should have considered into the matter in depth because of his image in Ocar winning film in "Slumdog Millionaire."

But evidently it is a prestigious role for Anil Kapoor to promote himself internationally with a burst of 12.5 million viewers each week, the Emmy-winning "24" has provided a stage for several leading South Asian actors since its debut in 2001. Indian American star Kal Penn played a teenaged terrorist over four episodes in 2007.

The action drama is gonna to begins it’s the eighth season of the action drama which is made within two-night and four-hour special is going to hit the American TV screen on Jan 17 at 9 p.m. and at 8 p.m on Jan 18.

Hope Anil Kapoor’s decision into small screen earns a huge accolade for himself and for his country.
