Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Tuesday (31st March) released the 20th edition of Limca Book of Records at a function in New Delhi. He was also felicitated for being among 20 luminaries who have made India proud. Amitabh was accompanied by his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai to this event. Talking here he said that, he was deeply touched by the acknowledgement of his work.

 

Amitabh also said that, he was deeply honoured to be on that stage with some great people. He added that, he always believed that it was the people of the country who have given him inspiration, have always stood by him, given him love and respect and provoked him to do better. The Hindi and Malayalam versions of the book were also released on the occasion.

 

Personalities, including ISRO chief G. Madhavan Nair, senior photographer Raghu Rai and senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai were also felicitated for being among the 20 People of the Year. Others in the list include actor Naseeruddin Shah, singer Lata Mangeshkar, shooter Abhinav Bindra, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and footballer Baichung Bhutia.
