Akshay is one of the most comical Indian actors and he is known for his action-packed performances. His talent has invited him to step beyond Bollywood and to act in Hollywood as well.

But, the actor thinks that he is a pure Bollywood person and  that he is a misfit in Hollywood. He loves his Indian fans and says that he always wants to entertain them.

The actor says to reporters in London “I am not fit for Hollywood.  I am happy being here (Bollywood). I have a huge audience to entertain. I do get small and big offers but I say no."

His next movie is ‘Khatta Meetha’ and he is playing the role of a Marathi manoos, Sachin Tichkule. It is a comical satire based on typical Indian happenings.

He adds further "I feel comfortable playing both action and comic roles.  I can perform anything but comedy is the toughest as it is very difficult to make somebody laugh.  But I enjoy doing something challenging. Khatta Meetha is my best comedy film," said the 42-year-old actor.” 

 

Akshay plays the character of Sachin, who wants to be the biggest road constructor in the region. But, due to lack of monitory support and his inability to bribe officials, he fails. As a result, he too becomes a spoiled and corrupt road contractor.

It is one of Priyadarshan’s 75 scripts, in which 68 were superhits. Trisha is playing opposite to Akshay.

He says "I have done five films with him, this is the fifth film and not a single day has gone dull.”
