Aishwarya Rai might sue the Elle magazine for putting up her picture on the cover page of the magazine with a 'whitened' face.

 

It is reported that if the allegation is proved, Aishwarya might also take legal action against the fashion magazine for changing her face color.

 

Many of the fans of the actress said that the changing of complexion depicts racism. Aishwarya was equally shocked as were her fans when first noticed the tweaked picture.

 

A source said, "Aishwarya's first reaction was disbelief. Not in this day and age when women are recognized for their merit, and not for the colour of their skin. She is currently verifying this skin-whitening allegation. If there is any proof of this, she might even take action."
