Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said that he will be re-releasing the movie Delhi 6 which will show the male protagonist Abhishek Bachchan dying according to his original vision of the movie.

 

The movie was based on political affairs and religious bigotry in India but, it had a cheerful ending when Abhishek bonds with Sonam Kapoor at the end. However Rakeysh originally planned that Abhishek will be dead at the end and the flick will start with him narrating how he died.

 

So now, he will be re-releasing the flick making all the required changes. He said, "I think I drifted away from my vision of killing my protagonist and that did not really work. I now want to re-release the film so that people can see what the original idea behind the movie was. The plan was to do the shooting in a guerilla mode."

 

He added, “I had not planned for a big budget and I wanted to shoot with only one handheld camera. I wanted to make the film real. But I guess everyone else got excited and in the process I too, went over the top."
