Zuri Group Global has plans to construct villas and apartments in Goa, under their real estate wing Zuri.
"While there were construction restrictions under the Coastal Regulation Zone norms, we recently got the nod to go ahead with our project," communication director Priti Chand of the Zuri Group Global said here.
She also added that land worth Rs. 200 crore has been purchased by the company, in which the company will be constructing 150 villas and 100 premium apartments, along with a 300-acre golf course.
"We plan to complete the project within the next 18 months," she said.
The Middle-East based Zuri Group currently possesses four India properties - Zuri Kumarakom Resort & Spa in Kerala, Zuri Whitefield in Bengaluru, and two properties in Goa, the Zuri Varca White Sands Resort and the Zuri Retreat.
The company has plans to foray into hotels, which are owned by other groups.
"We are in an advanced stage of finalising deals in Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and for our second property in Bangalore," Chand said.
The company has plans to expand its hotel chain to five more cities within a span of three years.
