Millions remained glued to their television sets to see their favorite actors at the grand Zee Cine Awards 2008 held in London recently. Attended by everyone old and new from the Bollywood film fraternity, the award ceremony ranked high as far as the glamour quotient is concerned. King Khan ruled the Zee Cine Awards 2008 as he not only bagged the best actor award for Chak De India, but also pepped up the evening by his riveting performance. The evening proved lucky for Kareena Kapoor too who was awarded the best actress award for Jab We Met.

 

Taare Zameen Par, that created waves all over with its touching story about a dyslexic boy, won actor Aamir Khan won two awards for his directorial talent. The award for the Best Film again went to Chak De India. The award ceremony was jointly hosted by Saajid Khan and director Karan Johar, who are famous for their slapstick humor as well as the lovely Dia Mirza. The handsome Ranbir Kapoor got Best Debut actor awards for Saawariyan, whereas Deepika Padukone bagged the award Best Debut actress for Om Shanti Om.
