The 16-year-old Delhi boy, Yuki Bhambri has won his second International Tennis Federation (ITF) title by defeating Raven Klaasen at the DLTA complex on Saturday (May 2). The emerging tennis star has won his maiden ITF title only a couple of days ago. On Saturday, Bhambri outperformed Raven Klaasen by 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5). The South African opponent, Klaasen gave tough competition to Bhambri in the final of the $15,000-tournament.
Compared to South African Davis Cupper, Bhambri was excellent with his big serves that helped him to clinch the title. The Delhi boy took one hour and 40 minutes to finish the match. Yuki committed five double-faults in the match. After winning the first set through a tie-breaker, Yuki played some aggressive tennis in the second set. After winning the final, elated Delhi youngster said that he was never expecting to win this week.
Last week the junior Australian Open champion, Bhambri won his maiden ITF title by defeating Vishnu Vardhan in straight sets 7-6 (1), 6-4. By winning two ITF in a row, Yuki Bhambri has earned 50 ATP points and $39,000. Bhambri has earlier won the junior singles title at 2009 Australian Open by beating Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas of Germany by 6-3, 6-1.
