India’s Yuki Bhambri moved into the US Open quarterfinals on Thursday.Yuki defeated American Jack Sock in straight sets by 6-4, 6-3.
 
Top seed Yuki took 61 minutes to beat Sock in the third round .He will face American Chase Buchanan in his next round. Buchanan prevailed over Marton Fucsovics of Hungary by 6-2, 6-3 in the pre-quarters.
 
Yuki became the first Indian to win a junior Australian Open in January. He has been in impressive form so far and is yet to drop a set.
 
The Indian served strong in the first set and did not concede a single break point. He broke the American once to take the lead in 31 minutes.
 
Sock broke Yuki twice in the second set, but the American had more trouble holding his own serve and was broken back four times.
 
The victory at US Open will make Yuki the third Indian, after Ramesh Krishnan and Leander Paes, to win two junior Grand Slam.
