YouTube India was launched by Google on Wednesday. You Tube has debuted in India with a number of partners that includes Zoom TV (of Bennet Coleman & Co), UTV and Rajshri Group. All uploaded content on YouTube is protected by its digital hash technology, which safeguards all uploaded content on the popular video-sharing site.

This digital hash technolog makes copying and reloading of the same content very difficultit, which greatly helps in battling piracy. YouTube also announced its zero tolerance policy towards the security of users against offensive content including pornography.

With the launch of YouTube India, Google is expecting a great rise in usage from India. India speccific content, along with country-specific video search, will go a long way in making the Indian version of YouTube more popular.
