Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman has made YouTube ban terrorism training videos from its site. Also, now onwards, in addition to the ban on terror training videos, there would be prohibition on videos that incite others to commit violent acts; videos on things like how to make bombs; and footage of sniper attacks.

Talking about the decision taken by YouTube, Richard Kolko, spokesman for FBI said that it is good news if there are less of these on the web. Further he said that it would not be too much effective as many of these Jihadist videos appear on different web sites around the world, and any time there is investigative or intelligence value we actively pursue it.

Al-Qaida has been using internet as a tool to expand its deadly ideology. Also, it led to terrorism recruitment. The things could be made available easily through internet. The protest came after counter terrorism officials found terrorist-sponsored videos were playing key role in spreading al-Qaida's propaganda across the world.
