Yes Bank said it would recruit 900 people, including 500 specialists, in the next nine months. The bank is eyeing at least 40% growth in loans in the current fiscal. It intends to drive expansion in six key segments.

The bank’s MD and CEO, Rana Kapoor said that at least 500 people would be recruited before September. The target is to add 900 people to the existing 2,700 by next march. Out of 900, 500 would be for managerial level and 400 would be for retail sales and service.

The hiring is according to the growth plan for the next six years. Rana said that the bank is looking at a growth of 40%, year-on-year. The bank’s focus is on future industries of India. Sectors like infrastructure, energy, agri-business, healthcare, and communications are expected to be concentrated on.

He added that 25% of the total advances go towards agri-business, while 18% go towards infrastructure. The bank expects this to go up by 2-4%.
