In this international problem of piracy that has made its advance in all spheres of the world is giving the filmmakers a sleepless night, the Bolywood and Hollywood people has clubbed together to put an end to it.
 
Before a film get’s its justified share from the Box office, much of  its profit is gulped by the movie piracy makers. In this drastic situation of huge business slop of films due to piracy which according to the study report of the Ernst and Young reflected that Indian consumers buy 700 million illegal DVDs every year resulting a loss of  $959m to the Indian film industry.
 
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and leading filmmakers of Bollywood has stepped up in this fight for film’s copyright.
 
Directing on earlier penetration of this illegal act before the official release of the film, the MPAA chairman Dan Glickman stated, "This has to be stopped.”
 
In an account to this united fight against piracy the renowned Bollywood film-maker Yash Chopra sighted that government’s support is essential to implement rigid rules against piracy.
 
India is listed among the top ten countries in the world where such crime is prevalent, Yash mentioned, "The Indian film industry loses millions of dollars every year due to piracy. India is also among the top 10 countries in the world when it comes to this crime. We need government support to implement stricter rules to prevent people from going to watch movies in cinemas with camcorders for copying purposes. If someone is caught, it should be a non-bailable offence."
