Item girl cum model, Yana Gupta who shot to fame with the song ‘Baabuji’ in the movie Dum is now trying her luck as a singer in a Punjabi pop music album. Titled 'Back Unda Da Influence', this Punjabi pop album was recently launched by Reliance ADA Group's Big Music and Home Video. It contains two songs - Aag Ka Dariya' and Na Koi Khayal - that have been sung by Yana Gupta. The lyrics of the latter have been penned by Yana herself.

 

Since I write poetry, writing songs comes naturally to me, says the sultry model-turned actress, Yana Gupta. Having a Czech origin, Yana says she has now lived in India long enough to be able to sing out few Punjabi words. Punjabi music composer and DJ Dr. Zeus has composed the album. Shortie, who is also known as Little Fox, is the co-singer of Yana Gupta. This Punjabi pop music album also includes songs of two new singers, Ravindra and Karamel.

 

Besides speaking English, Yana Gupta can also talk in Spanish and Japanese. Her knowledge of Hindi can be said to be a little less than moderate. Yana has also divulged that she has been working on an English album for the past six months and that this album would be launched in Britain. 'Back Unda Da Influence', however, consists of 13 tracks including 'Sat Shri Akal' and 'Adhi holi maar'.
