Motorcycle riders in India can get really save some cash in their purse as Yamaha plans to cut down the price of YZF-R15 by 10,000. Yamaha is thinking over reducing the cost of the coming 2011 YZF-R15 motorcycle by as much as about ten thousand rupees & to make it more spread-out among throbbing Indian youngsters.
 
The R15 that is going to come this year will have a wider rear tyre, split seats with a raised rear seat, all-new exhaust, rear wheel hugger, new alloy-wheel pattern & would have got LED tail lamps.
 
The present sporty model bike R15 is motorized by an 149.8 cc, SOHC, single cylinder, 4-valve engine which can produce a peak power of 17 PS at 8,500 rpm & a torque of about 15 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Clearly It weighs a mere 120 kg (while other 150 cc bikes weigh at least 142 kg) & is with a fuel efficiency of 40 kmpl.
