The ninth edition of America's popular Woodstock film festival began on October 1, 2008. The four-day film festival will showcase some 124 films including documentaries and full length features. This year's film festival will have highest number of premiere films. About 44 premier films from all over the world will be screened in 2008 Woodstock Film Festival.
As per sources, the Honorary award will be presented to filmmaker Kevin Smith, cinematographer Haskell Wexler and veteran writer-producer James Schamus, chief executive officer of Focus Features. Smith's new movie, 'Zack and Miri Make a Porno' will get screened on the closing night of the Film Festival.
Many prominent and high-profile members of film fraternity will gather in this film festival. Besides them, Woodstock Film Festival will also feature prominent people from different walks of life including industry executives, network and cable executives, record label executives, writers, entertainment lawyers, producers and critics.
