With more and more women occupying top notch positions in the corporate sector, the Indian companies too are doing their bit to woo them into their fray. Infact, many are even proffering their employees an extra 25 per cent bonus for referring them a female employee. The reason India Inc states for favoring a larger women workforce is because they bring with them their own perspective of things.
Experts state that this particular feminine trait is perhaps what has resulted in the fair sex proving themselves to be better professionals. Oil exploration and production firm Cairn India director (HR and administration), P Senthil Kumar says that his company gives women a lot of preference and also equal opportunities in all projects.
To make more women join the company, many corporate companies have introduced certain women-centric incentives. CCC, for instance, has created a special website for its women employees titled Planet W. Planet W acts as a common discussion forum. Apart from this, the company also offers its women employees flexible working hours.
