A survey sponsored by US Department of Energy and General Motors shows that 88% women said that they would like to talk to a man with fuel-efficient car than with the men who have sports car. This survey has created curiosity among people as it is against the common belief that women like big and luxury cars which in fact burn lots of fuel.
The survey has come in opportune time when fuel prices are soaring high. Rising fuel costs is a factor when choosing a car for 73 per cent of car buyers. The survey is obviously putting much weight on general understanding that 80 per cent of car buyers said they would prefer to talk to a fuel-miser than a fuel-wastrel. Now it seems the jokes around guys that girls like big cars might not be logical. This change of mindset among women would certainly lead people to buy energy efficient cars.
