The Wipro Company has declared an alteration in the management framework of its IT business as well as extension of its board of directors. Three persons - Girish Paranjpe, Suresh Senapaty and Suresh Vaswani, have been anointed to Wipro’s board. Further on, Girish Paranjpe and Suresh Vaswani have been made the joint CEOs for Wipro’s IT business.

 

Girish Paranjpe has been working at Wipro since 1990 and has moved from leadership roles in the finance works to business leadership roles. Quite recently, Girish was president of the banking, financial services and insurance business unit of the international IT business of Wipro. Suresh Vaswani, on the other hand, has been with Wipro since 1985 and has held various leadership positions.

 

It is since 1980 that Suresh Senapaty has been working with Wipro and has been CFO of Wipro since 1995. The chairman of Wipro, Azim Premji welcomed the new-board members and said that they will add richness and breadth to the board. Sudip Banerjee, presently president of enterprise solutions business is moving as director on the advisory board of PremjiInvest (PI).
