Indian IT giants Wipro and Satyam have won Asian MAKE Awards 2008 in 'Transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value' and 'Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises' category respectively. Factually, after an initial short-listing by a panel, the MAKE Winners are chosen by a panel of Fortune 500 business executives, management and intellectual capital experts.
It's the sixth time in a row that Wipro Technologies has won the award. On the other hand, Satyam Computer Services has won the '2008 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Award' for third year in a row. B. Ramalinga Raju, Chairman and founder said that winning organizations treat knowledge as a strategic asset.
Raju added that success in today's new, complex world, which is characterized by shifting economics and an information explosion, depends a great deal on how well we manage what we know. He concluded that since inception in 1987, Satyam has consistently been innovating and advancing the state of Knowledge Management practice.
