Ace film director Ashutosh Gowariker whose forthcoming movie ‘What’s Your Raashee? starring Hurman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra is already making news, has revealed that the climax of the movie is entirely different from the climax of the novel. He has disclosed that Hurman Baweja chooses a girl who is not the same one which the hero of the novel by Madhu Rye chooses.
Even though Gowariker has admitted that he had a tough time to convince Rye, he has finally succeeded in convincing the novelist telling him that an identical ending will spoil the thrill of the movie for all those who are familiar with the novel’s climax.
“If I had 12 different actresses playing the 12 brides-in-waiting, a star-hierarchy would’ve been created in the audiences’ mind. And the one Hurman would’ve married would’ve been considered ‘the star’ of the show. I wanted all the 12 girls to be looked on with equal curiosity and interest by the audience. And for that I needed to take up the challenge of making one actress play all the 12 parts,” Gowariker told.
