The Walt Disney Co will be buying the popular online gaming company Playdom at $563.2 million.
Finally, the much expected deal happened with Walt Disney acquiring Playdom, which ranks third in the online gaming with over 42 million players in a month. The Walt Disney had earlier hinted that it was planning to acquire Playdom.
The acquisition is more significant to the Walt Disney as it would help the company expand its market base in the digital gaming. This would fetch the company with more users through Facebook and MySpace.
Recently the company had acquired another popular gaming company Tapulous which builds ‘Tap Tap Revenge’ game for iPhones.
Playdom is a most popular online games developer which is popularly known for its online games on MySpace and Facebook.
