Walt Disney Co will soon be launching free touch applications for iPhone and iPod, which will enable the users to have access to Disney content whenever they want to.
Disney.com will enable the Apple device users to access to feature like Clik2Life, which allows the users for taking images from Disney’s website and use them in the physical world.
Jason Davis, vice president of Disney.com mentioned that it has already understood that it has a vast number of iPhone and iPod touch users who are Disney audiences.
Disney.com reaches nearly 31 million unique visitors per month and said that among mobile Web sites, it ranks as the No. 1 entertainment mobile site.
"Our iPhone and iPod touch traffic is heavily made up of kids and moms. The iPod touch has a very specific demographic geared to the tween," he said, adding that within Disney content, there are various safety controls.
"Because the applications are self-contained, once you're in the application, you can't get into anything else," he said.
The new Disney application will ensure that all the Disney content will be available from a single place. It will also allow the users for interacting with Disney character by means of photo frames and audio greetings. The Apple device users can hear to Radio Disney live, watch and purchase Disney music on Apple's iTunes Stores.
