Ruslana Korshunova, a 20 year-old model who has been featured on the cover page of the Vogue fashion magazine, died after falling down from her Manhattan apartment building on Saturday, June 28. Though it is still being investigated how this incident took place, the possibility of suicide is also not being ruled out. It is reported that Korshunova died around 2:30 pm by falling from a building located on Water Street, in Manhattan's Financial District. No further immediate information on this issue was available from the New York agency of the late model and a spokeswoman for medical examiners.
Hailing from Alma-Ata in Kazakhstan, the green-eyed and silky haired Korshunova holds the credit of doing advertisements and walking the ramp for high-profile designers like Marc Jacobs, Nina Ricci and DKNY. She was labeled as the ‘face to be excited about’ by the British Vogue in 2005. It was a modeling booker Debbie Jones who first spotted Ruslana Korshunova in in-flight magazine based on her hometown. After he managed to hunt her down for plum modeling assignments, there was no looking back for Ruslana Korshunova in her career.
