There are reports that telecommunication giant Vodafone may carry Apple iPhone in India, which is said to be launched in September 2008. It is to be noted that earlier this year Apple had declared that it is going to launch its iPhone in India by September 2008.

The iPhone boasts of many features such as Wi-Fi, email client, online music stores and TV feeds. The iPhone is expected to cost around Rs 28,000. If Vodafone serves as the carrier, then it is sure to earn big revenues.

Meanwhile there is no information regarding the terms of the deal, quantities to be launched, sales target etc. Both Apple and Vodafone have not made any official statement regarding the deal, but it is expected that the statement may come in a month or two.
