Vodafone has launched a new internet service Vodafone 360, which will offer access to a pack of applications like integrated social networks and other applications. It will help the service providers to enhance its revenue stream and compete with the other service providers.
Vodafone 360, which has been developed on the open source operating system, Limo, will enable the users to save the phone as well as social networking contacts in a single place.
The newly launched service will help the users to browse the net, share the data, read e-mails and update the social networking sites.
The users have to choose a plan after the download. As part of a promotion, the mobile maker will also offer a Samsung handset with a touchscreen interface.
"Customers can stay in touch and share experiences through social networks, instant messaging, email, apps, maps, music and buying digital content on their mobile bill, with the personalised address book at its heart," told Pieter Knook, Director of Internet Services at a Vodafone Group meeting.
