The smile on Vivek’s face for his engagement with Priyanka Alva didn’t even settled that he got a bad news. He has been sued in court by an entertainment company claiming damage recovery charges for Rs 4.86 crore.

It is reported that Vivek’s Delhi based company; Yashi Multimedia Private Limited had taken an advance of Rs 1 Lakh from Mehta Entertainment back in the year 2003. The money was taken for the purpose of organizing stage shows in Canada and US. But, due to several reasons the shows were not organized.

Claiming a loss of Rs 4.86 crore, Mehta Entertainment has sued Vivek in the court. Justice S. Ravindra Bhat, from Delhi High Court has issued notice to Vivek Oberoi, father Suresh Oberoi and sister Meghna Oberoi for the same.

Mehta Entertainment was trying hard to get the money from Vivek since many years, but in vain and finally they took the legal route of getting their loss repaid.

The court has asked the Oberoi’s to give a reply till November 1, 2010 by filing a written statement in the High Court.
