With a view to gain maximum benefits during the second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), telecom service provider Virgin Mobile has launched a new online cricket fantasy game called Indian Hatke League (IHL). The newly launched online cricket game is a spoofing of the cash-rich IPL-2, commencing in South Africa on Saturday (April 18).
With the help of the new online game, the users will be able play for any of the eight teams participating in IPL-2. While launching the new game, Virgin Mobile chief executive M.A. Madhusudan stated that his company has come up with this new idea so as build up the image of the organization. Madhusudan said that the new fantasy cricket game called IHL is aimed at the youth of the country.
The players of IHL will be judged on the basis of their performance in each match played during the period of April 18-May 24. Madhusudan informed that during each match day, players will compete against each other and the winner of the game will get attractive prizes. The prizes include Hyundai i20, Sony’s video game console Play Station and Virgin Mobile handsets. Virgin Mobile was supposed to sponsor IPL team Delhi Daredevils but it pulled out as the tournament’s venue was shifted to South Africa.
