The youth focused mobile brand in India, Virgin Mobile has unveiled a stylist slider handset called vGlide on Wednesday (February 25). The mobile phone features a 1.8 inch large screen and FM radio facility. The company assured that the buyers will be offered with a starter user kit worth Rs. 499 that includes prepaid connection, lifetime incoming validity, 499 free local minutes and 499 free local SMSes valid for 60 days.
The attractive mobile phone is incorporated with loads of other features like access to Vbytes - Virgin Mobile's data portal, games, speaker phone equipped with travel charger and stereo. Measuring 47.5mm X 99mm X 14.8mm in dimension, vGlide's phonebook has a capacity of storing 700 entries including 3 speakerphone entries. According to CEO of Virgin Mobile India, M. A. Madhusudan, vGlide is the first CDMA handset in India with the slider form factor. He claimed the handset is designed to cater to the youths of India
One of the important factors of the new mobile phone from Virgin is its affordability. The feature-enriched and attractive handset carries a price tag of only Rs. 2,399. vGlide comes with soft touch exterior finish in unique paprika red colour.
