Acclaimed Bollywood director Vipul Shah has said that his forthcoming movie, London Dreams, starring Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan and Asin in lead roles, revolves around the plot of a struggling band. While mentioning that it is a "wholesome" entertainment, he said that it does not share any similarity with Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Rock On’.
According to Shah, the only similarity between the two movies is that both are based on story of rock bands trying to establish themselves.
"'Rock on' was in the recent past. I would be a fool to make a film, which is a copy of 'Rock on' or any other film," Shah said.
London Dreams is a complete musical and is set to grace the theatres this Firday.
Rather than make a novel contribution to Indian cinema, Shah candidly described his work as a wholesome, fun film for audience around the globe.
"You can't plan a film thinking you're going to contribute to cinema. I make cinema because I like making films, I love making films," Shah said about the film.
