According to the Chairman of Videocon Group Venugopal Dhoot his company is going to invest 80 billion rupees ($1.4 billion) in a 1,000-megawatt hydro power project in north India.  He further disclosed that the group was in talks with potential partners in the United States. More details are awaited about the project.
