Verizon Wireless has finally announced the iPhone 4 (CDMA) launch details. The company said that Apple’s iPhone 4 would be launched on February 10. This is the first time that Verizon carries iPhone 4. Earlier, AT&T dominated the market as it was the only carrier of iPhone 4.

"I can't tell you the number of times I've been asked and my colleagues have been asked ... When will the iPhone work on the Verizon network?" said Apple's chief operating officer, Tim Cook was quoted as saying.

The pre-orders for the existing Verizon customers would start from February 3. According to sources, the price would range between $200 and $300 for a two-year contract. As of now, both AT&T and Verizon prices are almost similar.

However, AT&T recently announced that it would reduce the iPhone 4’s price to maintain its market share. Adding iPhone 4 to its portfolio will strengthen Verizon’s position in the market. The company faced a setback mainly because of AT&T carrying Apple iPhone. Most of the Verizon’s phones were based on Android operating system.

Verizon is the largest mobile telecommunications network in the United States with 93.2 million U.S. subscribers.
