According to a new study people who are vegetarians or fish eaters are less prone to develop cancers of stomach, bladder, ovaries, and lymph and blood systems.

In addition to these, these people had lower BMIs when compared to those who eat meat. So the lesser you eat meat, the longer your life is.

According to the study, people who eat less quantity of meat and eat more fish and vegetables have lesser amounts of saturated fat than who indulge in meat-rich diet. This is true when the people cut down eating red meat, which has contents that can lead to the developments of blocks in arteries, leading to arteriosclerosis and other cardio-vascular diseases along with an increased risk of different cancers. Red meat is all rich in compounds that can hamper the DNA.
