Jamaica’s Usain Bolt has clinched Gold in Men’s 100 m event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and that too in a world record time of 9.69 seconds. The silver medal went to Trinidad and Tobago’s Richard Thompson who ran a time of 9.89 seconds, whereas USA’s Walter Dix took bronze in 9.91 seconds.
Usain Bolt, who can be called world’s fastest man ever, broke his own world record of 9.72 seconds he had set earlier in June this year. The record set at the Olympic Games stood at 9.84 seconds, which was set during the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games by Donovan Bailey.
