A media report on Wednesday suggested that the US will be providing training to the police force of Punjab Province of Pakistan for combating the terrorist attacks.
The US embassy assistant legal attaché, Carol M. Sniegowski and Tariq Saleem Dogar, the Punjab Inspector General of Police had met in Lahore on Tuedsy for discussing the aspects related to police training. They also discussed the ongoing investigations of the attacks which happened in Pakistan last month.
Sniegowski said the US would provide technical assistance and training to the Punjab police. He also mentioned that the US will be rendering vehicles equipped with latest investigative equipments for enhancing the investigations related to the attacks happening since Oct 5.
Dogar hoped that cooperation with the US in the field of training would enhance the professional skills of the police officials while the availability of vehicles equipped with latest investigative equipment would be helpful in investigating the crimes on scientific lines.
