According to ‘The Times’ newspaper, US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael Mullen has said that if Pakistan is not able to stop cross-border terrorism in Afghanistan, US forces might bomb frontier areas targeting terrorist camps. The strong reaction came after nine American soldiers were killed and 15 wounded on Sunday in an attack on a US base in Kunar province of Afghanistan which is close to Pakistan border.

US Admiral suspects that some elements within Pakistani security agencies could be helping insurgents operate from their bases in the border region. This has long been the issue between US and Pakistan. Similar statements had come earlier too, now this time there are strong indications of US action inside Pakistan border. Factually there are many Al-Qaida, and Taliban terrorist camps operating inside Pakistan border and have tremendous local support.
