UK based electronic company Ultra Motors has launched high end range electronic scooter ‘Marathon’ in the market. The Marathon according to company sources promises to travel 100 kilometers every single charge done. Deba Ghoshal, director, (Marketing-Ultra Motors India) said that it would be available at the price of Rs 31,047 in showrooms.
The new product according to company is aimed at consumers of 24+ year olds. The company has focused towards the customers who are looking for budget transportation in the era of inflation and high-rising crude prices. The core value of the product is its utility, said, the director of the company.
The data available for last fiscal year tells that the Ultra Motors had sold 22,000 units of scooters in technical collaboration cum-joint marketing agreement with Hero Exports. On the other hand, this fiscal year the company has set a target of selling 60000 units.
The company is looking into two core segments; first, increasing the number of dealers across India from 150 to 275, and second, invest more. Now, the company is mulling a plan to invest 140 crore rupees in three years in product development, distribution, and marketing.
