The talks between the United Arab Emirates and Britain will be held in London between Oct 19 and Oct 20 for enhancing the bilateral trade tie up between the two nations.
The officials will deliberate on a new mechanism that will open up new investment opportunities and increase trade exchanges.
The UAE delegation for the talks will be spearheaded by the Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri.
Trade between the UAE and Britain was worth 30 billion UAE dirhams (about $8 billion) in 2008. The value of British exports to the UAE was about $6 billion, while the UAE exports to Britain were valued at $511 million in 2008.
Transactions carrying a value of about $3 billion were conducted by Britain in 2008 in UAE. It had contributed to 50% of the net foreign transactions.
