India’s two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company Ltd. has recorded a sound 34% growth in sales in January this year.
According to the recently released report, the company had sold 125,578 units last month against 93,729 units in the same period last year.
The combined sales for the period April 2009 to January 2010 stands at 1,234,632 units against 1,100,453 units in January 2009.
Similarly, the company has also sold substantially in the domestic market. As per the reports, it had sold 109,504 units last month as against 79,729 units in January 2009.
The growth in exports is also notable as it has recorded 15% more in sales, which is about 16,074 units of two-wheelers last month as against 14,000 units in January 2009.
TVS Motor's three-wheeler sales stood at 1,710 units last month, which is up from 466 units registered in January 2009. The combined three-wheeler sales for the period April 2009 to January 2010 stood at 10,417 units.
