TVS brings the new currency symbol of India into its Gold Bharat Keyboard. With this, the company becomes the first ever company to bring India’s new Rupee symbol in keyboard.
 
S.S. Raman of TVS Gold Bharat Keyboard, was quoted as saying “We are proud to depict the Indian Rupee symbol in our keyboard and we are the first and only Indian manufacturer to do so. As the core Indian company, we believe in ‘Taking IT to the heart of India’ and this is our humble dedication to the nation this independence day. We are also facilitating faster and comprehensive rollout across all the products”
 
Besides, the keyboard’s other unusual features include its supporting of other Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Bengali, Telugu and Assamese among others.
 
With the new Rupee Symbol, the keyboard has been priced at Rs. 1,495 and is available from the 3,500 authorised TVS partners.
 
The new symbol for Rupee was announced by India a month before. The symbol for the Indian currency is the combination of Devanagari consonant ‘Ra’ and Roman letter ‘R’. The symbol would be adopted in the country within six months and within 24 months globally.
