Leading carrier of Turkey, Turkish Airlines started its daily flight operation from Istanbul to Delhi and Mumbai on Monday (February 2). The Turkey’s carrier already operates four weekly flights from Mumbai and three from New Delhi to Istanbul.
 
While interacting with the media, Turkish Airlines chief executive Temel Kotil said that the recent decision has been taken to increase the frequency of daily flights from Indian metros to Istanbul. The introduction of new flight will take up the frequency of service to 14 every week.
 
Turkish Airlines is the flagship carrier of the country with a fleet of 127 aircraft flying to 144 cities. Turkish Airlines offers its services to 109 international destinations. Talking about the expansion plans, Temel Kotil informed that Turkish Airlines is planning to launch its flight services from Hyderabad and Chennai.
 
In order to enhance its services, Turkish Airlines has entered into code-sharing agreements with leading airline companies of the world including Air India. Temel Kotil said that by increasing its frequency by 14 flights every week, Turkish Airlines has successfully implemented its bilateral rights with India.
