Turkey has entered the semi-finals of the Euro 2008 defeating Croatia 3-1 in penalty shoot out.

In the match played at Vienna, Turkey defeated Croatian team by 3-1 in Euro 2008 quarterfinals. The result of the match was decided by penalty shoot out. Earlier, Croatia played well in the first half of the game and most of the time ball was in their possession. But both the teams were unable to score any goal in the alotted 90 minutes. In extra time also both the teams finished with 1-1 draw. Then match reached onto penalty shoot out round where Turkey converted two goals and Croatia failed to do any.
 
In extra time Croatia’s Ivan Klasnic scored a goal and was confident about his team’s victory but was disappointed when Turkish Semih Senturk scored a goal just before two minutes into injury time. Now the fate of the match had to be decided by penalty shoot out. Arda Turan, Hamit Altintop and Senturk converted their shots into goal for Turkey. After this victory, Turkey has reached the semi-final of the tournament where it will meet Germany.
