The Transparency International has released its annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2008 ranking countries of the world as per 'the degree to which corruption is perceived to exist among public officials and politicians'. The CPI is a composite index and is prepared with help from various top experts and business surveys. The 2008 CPI scores 180 countries (same number as in the 2007 CPI) on a scale from zero (highly corrupt) to 10 (highly clean). Below is the Transparency International 2008 Corruption Perceptions Index.
